If you are unable to attend parent/teacher conferences, grades may be accessed through Home Access Center (HAC) starting Thursday, October 24 at noon. Once in HAC, click on the grades icon and choose the IPR tab to view grades. If you have any questions about conferences or accessing HAC, please contact your building office. Arkansas Assessment Changes & Score Distribution for Students in Grades 3-10 Last School Year: Beginning in the 2023-2024 school year, Arkansas transitioned to a new state-wide assessment system for students in grades 3-10. This new assessment system focused on assessing students in the areas of math, writing, reading and science. These results serve as a new baseline and should not be compared to results from different assessments administered in previous years. This new assessment was built on the Arkansas Academic Standards to assess student’s knowledge and application of the grade level content standards. The student results you will receive are for the grade your child was in last year. The ATLAS summative scores from the spring of 2023-2024 will be distributed at parent/teacher conferences with your child’s report card. Additional information such as how to access the online parent portal, how to interpret your child’s scores, and your child’s unique access code will also be provided with your child’s report card. If you are unable to attend parent/teacher conferences on Thursday, October 24th, your child’s results and this additional information will be sent home the following week. If you have any questions, please contact your child's school counselor at the appropriate email address provided below. Grade 4: mary.caldwell@valleyviewschools.net Grades 5-6: erin.popejoy@valleyviewschools.net Grades 7-8: jessica.fagan@valleyviewschools.net Grade 9: dana.sheets@valleyviewschools.net Grades 10-11: catherine.williams@valleyviewschools.net New Math/Literacy Screeners & Screener Results for Students in Grades K-3 This School Year: Beginning in the 2024-2025 school year, students in grades K-2, were required to take the ATLAS literacy and math screeners. Students in grade 3 were required to take the ATLAS literacy screener. These screeners were administered earlier this school year. Your students' results, how to interpret the results, how to access the online parent portal, and your student’s unique access code will be given out by your child’s teacher at parent/teacher conferences. If you have any questions, please ask your child’s teacher.

From Blazer grads to Blazer teachers, we are thankful to have our hometown educators like Mr. Joe Waleszonia! Joe is a 2018 graduate of Valley View High School. He was a member of the football, basketball, and baseball teams, where he was an All-State Football and Baseball player. He is currently serving as a High School World History teacher and a Jr High assistant football and basketball coach. Joe’s favorite memories of being a student at Valley View include all the football, basketball, and baseball games he played in over the years and being the class that brought the Homecoming Parade back to Valley View! #TeamBlazer #Blazergrads
