📘✨ Did you know? Before 1949, Valley View had no mascot—teams and publications were simply known as Valley View. That changed when the senior class, guided by Miss Edna Hogue, created the school’s first yearbook. The name “Blazer,” suggested by Kathleen “Wimpy” Berry, was chosen to represent Blazing New Trails—and with it, Valley View’s mascot was born. The yearbook was published, and the Blazer legacy began, continuing to this day as we celebrate our 100th year. 💙💛 #BlazerPride🔥

🏀🎉 As we gear up for the Basketball Centennial Celebration in January, we proudly remember the unforgettable 1955–56 season. Valley View’s stinging full-court pressure and speed carried the Blazer boys basketball team to a thrilling 73–70 victory over Lincoln to claim the Class B State Championship 🏆. Even more special — it remains the only state basketball championship in Valley View history! 💙💛 👏 The 1955–1956 Boys Basketball Team (and their families) will be recognized at the Centennial Celebration on Friday, January 23, at Blazer Arena. #BlazerPride🔥
