Due to inclement weather, Valley View Public Schools will be closed on Friday, January 10, 2025. All Friday and Saturday activities are postponed and will be rescheduled for a later date.
Please note that the events on campus for tonight (Thursday, January 9) will proceed as planned.
Valley View School District will utilize the inclement weather instructional hours that are already built into the current 2024-2025 district calendar. As a reminder, the built-in inclement weather instructional hours in this year’s academic calendar replace Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI) days that were used in years prior to 2024.
Enjoy the SNOW DAY! ❄️💙💛

It’s that time of the year! ❄️
Through the winter season, Valley View School District will be actively watching forecasts for any weather that may impact road conditions and travel to or from school. The safety of our students, staff, and families is top priority when making these decisions.
Parents will be notified of any school closures, early dismissals, or delays via text, email, the school website, the school app, and our social media outlets. Please make sure you have downloaded the school app and your contact information is updated with your child’s building office.
In the event of inclement weather and the need to close school, Valley View School District will utilize the inclement weather instructional hours that are already built into the current 2024-2025 district calendar. As a reminder, the built-in inclement weather instructional hours in this year’s academic calendar replace Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI) days that were used in years prior to 2024. If we exceed the number of built-in instructional hours (31.73 hours) for inclement weather, the district will add additional instructional time to the end of the school year to ensure the students receive 1,068 instructional hours at a minimum.
