This week our seniors met one-on-one with Mrs. Loebach, Mrs. Williams, Mrs. Cline, and Mr. Lamberson to review their transcripts, graduation check sheets, and plans for a strong finish to high school! 🎓💙💛 During these meetings, we discussed: ✅ The new A2A (Arkansas Academic Challenge Access) Scholarship, which replaces the Lottery Scholarship at the concurrent level and helps support students taking accelerated college courses. ✅ Honor Graduate status requirements and how students are tracking toward that recognition. ✅ Updates on Arkansas’ new laws regarding weighted classes. We are so proud of the Class of 2025 and are excited to help guide them on the path to graduation! 💙💛

🎉 BIG NEWS from The View! 🎉 Help us give a HUGE congratulations to Joann Kim, one of our incredible Girls State Delegates, who has just been selected as a GIRLS NATION DELEGATE! 🇺🇸✨ This is an unbelievable honor — only two delegates from each state are chosen to represent their state at Girls Nation in Washington, D.C., and Joann earned one of those spots! To even be considered, Joann had to stand out among hundreds of the best and brightest at Arkansas Girls State — giving speeches, participating in debates, and showcasing her leadership, character, and passion for public service. Now she’ll head to D.C. this summer, where she’ll meet with other delegates from across the nation, learn more about government, meet national leaders, and even visit the White House! 🏛️ We are SO proud of you, Joann!

Valley View High School is proud to announce that students Antonella Conrado-Navarrete and Sarah Grace Harris had artwork selected for the 2025 Governor’s Young Artist Competition and Exhibit! Their incredible talent and creativity showcased at the Arkansas Governor’s Mansion this May. Their artwork was displayed alongside other top student artists from across the state. Both students were awarded Certificates of Achievement. Antonella won an honorable mention for her acrylic painting titled “The Capitol.” Art instructor Blakelee Counce shared, “Antonella and Sarah Grace continue to impress with their creativity, bold ideas, and passion for art. I’m beyond proud to see their work recognized at such a prestigious level!” Great Job Girls!

🎉 Congratulations to our amazing Jr. Leadership delegates: Daniel Lee, Ava Fitzgerald, Abigail Dalton, Isabella Hundley, Abbigail Askins, and Maverick Merryman! 🎉 These outstanding students were selected to represent us in the Jr. Leadership program through the Jonesboro Chamber of Commerce. They’ll have the opportunity to grow their leadership skills, build connections, and collaborate with other high school juniors across the area. We’re so proud of you all! 💙💛

¡Feliz Cinco de Mayo! Mrs. Jones’s Spanish II, III, and IV classes had a blast celebrating Mexican culture today! Students crafted piñatas, played Lotería, and enjoyed delicious paletas and churros. While Cinco de Mayo isn’t widely celebrated in Mexico, we take this opportunity to honor and appreciate the rich culture and heritage of our neighbors to the south. What a fun and meaningful way to bring language learning to life!

Graduation is TOMORROW at 2:00 PM at First National Bank Arena on the ASTATE campus for Valley View High School — we can’t wait to celebrate the Class of 2025!
