Help us give a HUGE congratulations to Joann Kim, one of our incredible Girls State Delegates, who has just been selected as a GIRLS NATION DELEGATE! 🇺🇸✨
This is an unbelievable honor — only two delegates from each state are chosen to represent their state at Girls Nation in Washington, D.C., and Joann earned one of those spots!
To even be considered, Joann had to stand out among hundreds of the best and brightest at Arkansas Girls State — giving speeches, participating in debates, and showcasing her leadership, character, and passion for public service.
Now she’ll head to D.C. this summer, where she’ll meet with other delegates from across the nation, learn more about government, meet national leaders, and even visit the White House! 🏛️

Valley View High School is proud to announce that students Antonella Conrado-Navarrete and Sarah Grace Harris had artwork selected for the 2025 Governor’s Young Artist Competition and Exhibit!
Their incredible talent and creativity showcased at the Arkansas Governor’s Mansion this May. Their artwork was displayed alongside other top student artists from across the state. Both students were awarded Certificates of Achievement. Antonella won an honorable mention for her acrylic painting titled “The Capitol.”
Art instructor Blakelee Counce shared, “Antonella and Sarah Grace continue to impress with their creativity, bold ideas, and passion for art. I’m beyond proud to see their work recognized at such a prestigious level!”

¡Feliz Cinco de Mayo!
Mrs. Jones’s Spanish II, III, and IV classes had a blast celebrating Mexican culture today! Students crafted piñatas, played Lotería, and enjoyed delicious paletas and churros. While Cinco de Mayo isn’t widely celebrated in Mexico, we take this opportunity to honor and appreciate the rich culture and heritage of our neighbors to the south. What a fun and meaningful way to bring language learning to life!
Graduation is TOMORROW at 2:00 PM at First National Bank Arena on the ASTATE campus for Valley View High School — we can’t wait to celebrate the Class of 2025!

Congratulations to the Valley View High School Quiz Bowl team for advancing to the finals, which will be televised on PBS this Saturday at approximately 3:30 P.M. They have reached the finals 3 out of the last 4 years! 💙💛📓
Mrs. Bailey’s Chemistry students just wrapped up a hands-on titration lab, and science has never looked more satisfying! Watching the acid and base neutralize with a perfect color change—thanks to phenolphthalein for the dramatic reveal—was a thrilling moment for these future scientists. It was a great lesson in patience, precision, and the power of just a few drops.

The Valley View Quiz Bowl team had an epic week--winning the 5A Northeast Regional Tournament and securing the #1 overall seed heading into the state tournament!
A huge shoutout to Kaydan Tran, Charlie Kelly, and William Crader for making the All-Tournament Team, with William earning MVP honors!
