🧚♀️✨ A special visitor fluttered into Mrs. Misty’s classroom — the Tooth Fairy! ✨🦷
Jami (or Aunt Jami to one very special young lady!) from Gairhan Dental Care stopped by to celebrate National Children’s Dental Health Month, sharing fun tips to help keep little smiles healthy and bright. 💚
We love learning about healthy habits — especially when there’s a little fairy magic sprinkled in! ✨

💙💛 #BlazerLoveStories 💛💙
👩❤️👨 Paul and Opaline (Thompson) Wimpy’s love story began around 1950 in the halls of Valley View High School. Paul was a lifelong member of the Valley View community, and Opaline moved into the district her 10th grade year. They began dating soon after and graduated together in 1953, marrying in September of that same year — starting a life rooted in faith, family, and #BlazerPride🔥
🏠 In their early years, Paul worked for the Coca-Cola Company and Opaline for Southwestern Bell Telephone. Living in a small downtown apartment, they walked to work each day because they didn’t yet have a vehicle. By the late 1950s, they built a home not far from Valley View School, planting even deeper roots in the community they loved.
👨🌾 Paul spent most of his adult life farming, with Opaline faithfully working alongside him. She was actively involved in the Valley View PTA, and both were dedicated members of the Valley View Booster Club. Paul was also a charter member of the Valley View Ruritan Club. Together, they spent countless hours in the Valley View gym, proudly cheering on their daughter, Belinda (Wimpy-Renck) Chapman, a 1981 graduate, as she played basketball.
💙 Their Blazer legacy continued through their grandson, Joshua Renck, a 2003 Valley View graduate, and now their great-grandson, Elliot Renck, age 11.
❤️ Paul and Opaline shared 70 beautiful years of marriage. Paul passed away in August of 2024, just one month shy of their 71st wedding anniversary. Opaline will celebrate her 91st birthday in March and now resides at St. Bernards Villa.
💛 Their story is one of devotion — to each other, to family, and to Valley View.
💙 Once a Blazer, Always a Blazer! 💛

💙 Calling all Valley View community members & local businesses! 💛
Want to make a real difference in the life of a Valley View senior? Consider sponsoring a scholarship this year!
Scholarships can be created by:
✨ A local business
✨ A family
✨ A graduating class
✨ In honor or memory of someone special
No amount is too small — even $500 helps cover the cost of college textbooks, and every dollar truly matters.
The best part? We can help you customize your scholarship however you’d like — from the name, to the criteria, to the story behind it. Your generosity can reflect what matters most to you.
If you’re interested in giving back and helping a senior take their next step, we’d love to work with you. Please reach out for more information-- jordan.loebach@valleyviewschools.net
Together, we can invest in our students and our future. 💙🔥

🔨🚧 High School Addition Project Update from C.R. Crawford Construction 🚧 🔨
While performing routine quality assurance testing, our project team discovered non-compliant materials had been installed on the Valley View High School addition construction project.
Following comprehensive verification testing and engineering analysis, the team has determined that removal and replacement of the materials in question is the solution. While this is an unfortunate setback, rest assured that the corrective work will be executed at no additional cost to the school district.
The project team has and will continue to keep the district's best interest as the top priority.

👩❤️👨 Cody and Krista (Rice) Nugent’s story began at Valley View in January of 2007. Krista had been a Blazer since kindergarten, while Cody and his twin brother, Chris, had just moved to the district over Christmas break from Lubbock, Texas. Fate stepped in when Cody was placed in Krista’s homeroom (Mrs. Chadwick) — sitting right in front of her.
🏡 They quickly realized they lived close to one another and shared many of the same interests. Weekends were spent in the country riding four-wheelers and dirt bikes with friends, and before long, friendship turned into something more. They officially started dating in April 2007 and cheered each other on at football and softball games throughout high school. Voted Cutest Couple for the Class of 2008, their Blazer love story was one everyone admired.
🎓 Their relationship continued at Arkansas State University, and in January 2013 they were married.
👧👧 Today, they have two daughters, ages 3 and 1, who are already honorary Lady Blazers. The girls can often be found at basketball and softball games cheering on their Aunt Meg (Coach Rice) and her teams.
🌾 Cody and Krista still enjoy the same hobbies that first brought them together — hunting, fishing, and lake life — though now they’ve added two kids, a herd of cattle, and a few donkeys to the adventure. Valley View brought them together, and they look forward to cheering on the Blazers for years to come!
💙 Once a Blazer, Always a Blazer!💛
