Our 6th Grade Choir kicked off the festivities with a beautiful performance of the National Anthem, and the excitement only grew from there!
From tug-of-war battles to extreme rock-paper-scissors and tic-tac-toe showdowns, our Blazers brought the energy all day long! 💪💙
Concessions, laughter, and teamwork made it even better—and our 5th and 6th grade house leaders did an awesome job helping lead the fun!

👟💙 Starting Monday, October 20th, Valley View 6th Grade students will launch a Community Service Project inspired by their class novel, A Long Walk to Water. Each student is encouraged to donate one pair of gently used tennis shoes—any size, as long as they’re clean and wearable for at least another year.
All donations will go to WaterStep, a nonprofit in Louisville, KY, that uses shoe donations to fund safe water programs for communities around the world. 🌎 💧
Our students are so excited to be part of a project that helps bring clean water to those in need. The more shoes we collect, the more lives we can touch! 💪✨

❄️ Today in Mr. Adams science class, students explored dicotyledons using persimmon seeds — and discovered a little folklore along the way! According to legend, the shape inside a persimmon seed can predict winter weather. 🌨️ A spoon means snow, and let’s just say… we saw a lot of spoons! Our young scientists are calling it now — they're predicting snow this winter! This is music to our ears in this lingering summer heat.
