📚 Valley View GT students traveled to ASU today to compete in the CRESC Battle of the Books tournament alongside other area schools! 📖 ✨ Our students read 12 chapter books and were quizzed over their knowledge—and they did an amazing job! 💙 We’re proud to share that Valley View earned both 2nd and 3rd place overall. 🏆 A special shoutout to Elleigh Anderson for placing 3rd individually in overall points—what a fantastic achievement! 💛 We are so proud of all of our readers for their hard work and dedication. #BlazerPride🔥

Our teachers brought back this fun tradition by exchanging ducks before heading out on their travels—and these ducky friends went everywhere! 🐥🌎 From near to far, our teachers (and their ducks!) are so excited to be back home and ready for the rest of the year. 🏀🎉 March Madness: House Party Edition! 🎉🏀 The competition was on as our houses went head-to-head with their sister houses in a full day of games! From Knockout, Pickleball, and Volleyball to 4 Square, Giant Connect 4, Chess, and Baggo, there was something for everyone. Students earned points for their house not only by winning games, but also by showing great sportsmanship along the way 👏💙. 💃🌴 Mrs. Frego’s class is bringing the Caribbean to life! As part of their Caribbean unit, students in Mrs. Frego’s class are learning to salsa dance! There’s nothing better than getting out of our seats, moving to the music, and experiencing culture in a fun, hands-on way.

Today our 5th graders participated in DARE and learned about nonverbal communication and the importance of effective listening. It was a great lesson on how body language, facial expressions, and being attentive can help us communicate clearly and respectfully with others. 💙💛
