Students who will be in 9th, 10th, or 11th grade NEXT year, and attend a Jonesboro area high school (Jonesboro, Nettleton, Valley View, Westside, home-school, and private school) are encouraged to apply for The Mayor's Youth Advancement Council of Jonesboro! Applications are open from February 15, 2025, and close on April 1, 2025, for the 2025-2026 school year. Please fill out the application form for consideration. Due to the timing of inclement weather forecasted tomorrow afternoon, Valley View Public Schools will dismiss two (2) hours early on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 with bus and car rider dismissal beginning at 1:00pm. All afterschool and evening activities, including the Excel afterschool program, are cancelled for Tuesday. It is our desire to provide this information on the district's planned early dismissal now so that our Valley View families can coordinate pickup and afterschool care accordingly.
