This week, we welcomed Justin Rucker, Head of Technology at KAIT 8, to our Digital Cinema program! Mr. Rucker shared insights into the many different career paths available in the world of broadcasting and technology. He also gave a fascinating hands-on presentation on how waves work—showing students the science behind how we see and hear the news every day. A huge thank-you to Mr. Rucker for inspiring our students and giving them a behind-the-scenes look at the technology that keeps our local news running!

🚨 Reminder: Once Your Child Turns 16! 🚨

When your child turns 16, it’s time to make sure their Meningococcal (meningitis) vaccine is up to date. 💉

Meningococcal disease can spread quickly and become very serious, but vaccination is the best way to protect your child and our school community.

✅ What to do:

Check your child’s immunization record with their healthcare provider.

If the vaccine is needed, schedule an appointment soon.

Send proof of vaccination to the school nurse by December 19, 2025 (drop off, fax, or email).

❓ Not sure if your child is up to date? Contact Nurse Tara for help!

Thank you for helping keep our students safe and healthy! ❤️

🌍💡 Mrs. Mayfield’s AP World History students recently wrapped up their “Autopsy of an Empire” projects! Each group brought history to life by illustrating famous figures from major land empires—complete with symbolic “wounds” that represented the causes of their decline. What a creative and memorable way to explore how great empires rose and fell! ⚔️📜
