FAFSA is NOW OPEN for the 2025-2026 School Year!🎓 If you're planning to attend college or career training next year, completing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is a MUST. This application determines your eligibility for federal, state, and institutional financial aid, including grants, scholarships, work-study, and student loans. 👉 Follow these easy steps to get started: Step 1: Create an FSA ID The FSA ID is your login to the FAFSA and other financial aid resources. Both the student and a parent need their own FSA ID. 🔗 Create your FSA ID here: https://studentaid.gov/fsa-id/create-account/launch Tips: Use an email address you check regularly. Students, DO NOT use your school-provided Blazermail account. Use a personal email you will have access to after graduation. Save your username and password in a safe place. Step 2: Gather Important Documents You’ll need: Social Security Numbers (student and parent(s)) 2023 Tax Returns (for you and your parents) W-2 Forms Records of untaxed income (if applicable) Driver’s license (optional) College list: Schools you plan to apply to Step 3: Fill Out the FAFSA Once you have your FSA ID and documents, you’re ready to complete the FAFSA. 🔗 Start the FAFSA here: https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa Tips: Use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool to import tax information quickly and accurately. Double-check your information before submitting. Step 4: Submit and Follow Up After submitting, you’ll get a confirmation email. Your FAFSA will be sent to the colleges you listed. Watch for follow-up emails from the colleges and respond promptly to any requests for additional information. 💡 Pro Tip: Complete your FAFSA early to maximize your financial aid opportunities! Don’t wait—the sooner, the better. 📞 Need help? Reach out to your school counselor or check out the free resources at https://studentaid.gov.

📜 Exploring the Rise and Fall of Empires in Mrs. Mayfield's AP World History Class! 🌍 Our AP World History students have been diving into the "anatomy" of early modern empires! They researched each empire’s political structure, culture, and economy, along with the factors that led to its decline. Then they brought history to life with creative, life-sized posters representing each empire, complete with "wounds" symbolizing the causes of their downfall. It’s incredible to see our students making these connections and bringing history to life! Way to go, Mrs. Mayfield’s class! 💡📚
