📸 Honoring Our Heroes: Valley View High School Veterans Day Ceremony 🇺🇸 Today, our students came together to honor the service and sacrifice of our veterans at the annual Valley View High School Veterans Day ceremony. Students shared inspiring stories and service records of several veterans from our community and beyond, reminding us of the bravery and dedication of those who have served our country. The Valley View High School band and choir added a special touch with their heartfelt performances. Thank you to our veterans, families, and everyone who joined us to pay tribute. During Hispanic heritage month Señor Polío's Spanish I and 2 classes had Tri-Fold presentation event on Hispanic Americans that has inspired and influenced the USA!💙💛

📜 Exploring the Rise and Fall of Empires in Mrs. Mayfield's AP World History Class! 🌍 Our AP World History students have been diving into the "anatomy" of early modern empires! They researched each empire’s political structure, culture, and economy, along with the factors that led to its decline. Then they brought history to life with creative, life-sized posters representing each empire, complete with "wounds" symbolizing the causes of their downfall. It’s incredible to see our students making these connections and bringing history to life! Way to go, Mrs. Mayfield’s class! 💡📚

🧬 Student Engagement Alert! 🧬 Our Biology students in Mrs. Coats' and Ms. Phillips' classes have been busy bringing the DNA system to life! Using real objects, they've created incredible DNA models that showcase their understanding of genetics in a hands-on way. The students stepped up to participate in a mini "election," casting their votes for the best DNA projects in each class!

🎥 Spotlight on Taylor Settlemoir! 🎾 We're so grateful for Mr. Settlemoir's dedication and innovation at Valley View High School! As the teacher of our Digital Cinema classes and the mastermind behind the Blazer News Network, he’s responsible for bringing Blazer pride right to our screens. From streaming games and events to building up our YouTube channel, his work lets the whole community stay connected and up-to-date. And let’s not forget—he also coaches our state winning tennis team with passion and expertise! Thank you, Mr. Settlemoir, for all you do to make Valley View shine!

🗳️ VVHS Mock Election Day! 🗳️ Today, our VVHS students got a hands-on experience in civic engagement through a mock election! 🏫 They cast their votes and took part in meaningful discussions about political parties and the voting process. Such a fantastic way for students to learn about the democratic process and explore the importance of informed voting! 📚 🇺🇸

Congratulations to William Crader and Andrew Boots who were selected to be members of the 2024-2025 Congressional Youth Cabinet for Senator John Boozman. William and Andrew represented Valley View last week in Little Rock to begin the process of sharing legislative ideas for solutions to issues that impact Arkansas youth.

🎃👻 In Valley View High’s spook-tacular science and medical classes, Ms. Rich and Mrs. Bailey cast a spell of learning this Halloween! 🧛‍♂️💉 Ms. Rich’s Medical Terminology class got hands-on creating realistic "wounds" to explore the layers of the skin, wound types, and the body's incredible healing process. From fake bruises to lacerations, they’re mastering medical terms and special effects! 🧪💀 Meanwhile, Mrs. Bailey’s science students dived into the "elements" of spooky science by forming ionic compounds, deriving formulas, and naming their creations—it’s electrifying! Learning has never been so thrilling!
