Over the next couple of weeks, students in grades 3-10 will be taking the ATLAS Summative assessments. All students in grades 3-10 will be taking a grade level Reading/ELA exam and students in grades 3-8 will also be taking exams in Math and Science. For students enrolled in Algebra 1, Geometry, and/or Biology, they will also be taking an End of Course exam over this content.
Specific testing dates per grade and subject area are listed below. Please make sure to have your child present and on-time for their testing session as testing will begin promptly at the start of school. Students will have to make up any assessment if missed. Students are allowed to bring a snack to eat during break. Please direct any questions to your child’s counselor.

From Blazer grads to Blazer teachers, we are thankful to have our hometown educators like Mrs. Leila Gremard!
Leila is a 1980 graduate of Valley View High School. She was one of four honor graduates (Yes, only 4!). She has been employed at Valley View for 23 years. She is currently serving as the SIS Coordinator and High School Administrative Assistant/Registrar.
Leila’s favorite memories of being a student at Valley View include FHA initiation to go to Mid-South Fair, dances, summer camps and clinics, ALL the basketball games including the NEA Tournament (never missed a game), and mostly making and keeping lifelong friends! Go Blazers!

☀️🕶️As a reminder, Valley View School District campuses will be closed for in-person instruction on Monday, April 8. This date will be an Alternate Methods of Instruction (AMI) day to ensure the safety of all students and staff with the projected impacts on traffic before and during dismissal time and due to the impact closures of other facilities have had on district staff available to report to work.

From Blazer grads to Blazer teachers, we are thankful to have our hometown educators like Ms. Lyndsey Rich!
Lyndsey is a 2006 graduate of Valley View High School. She has been teaching for 10 years and is currently the Medical Academy teacher at the high school.
Lyndsey’s favorite memories of being a student at Valley View include being captain of the dance team, being in the first musical in the Fine Arts Center with Mr. Gunter playing Gaston, playing volleyball for Coach McGee, lunch table friendships, and basketball homecoming activities.
