The Valley View School District has continued to monitor the latest local event plans, district staffing data, and updates from local and state officials regarding the Total Solar Eclipse that will occur in our area on April 8, 2024. Based on our review of all current data, Valley View School District campuses will be closed for in-person instruction on Monday, April 8. This date will be an Alternate Methods of Instruction (AMI) day to ensure the safety of all students and staff with the projected impacts on traffic before and during dismissal time and due to the impact closures of other facilities have had on district staff available to report to work. Next week each student will be provided ISO-certified glasses to bring home to experience the eclipse off campus. Instructional activities and resources will be posted on our district website to supplement other eclipse activities Blazer families may have planned for this date. The district appreciates your understanding of this decision as area plans have continued to evolve in preparation for the event.

🎉 We have another round of Jr. Principals🎉 After maintaining perfect conduct and saving over 250 Dojo Points, these Second Grade Students earned the role of JR Principal! Ella Lund, Jon Baker, Ross Clark, and Jackson Myers worked extremely hard today 🌟 These young leaders assisted the office staff and principals with mail deliveries, teacher reminders, hallway safety duty, and even lending a hand in the cafeteria! 🍽️ We couldn't be prouder of their dedication and hard work. 💙💛
