Our 2nd graders wrapped up their study of early settlers and Native Americans by building their own soddies and writing about them! 🏡✨ They loved applying what they learned about how settlers used natural resources to build their homes. Such a fun, hands-on way to bring history to life! 📚🤠🌾
Our 1st graders read Balloons Over Broadway, the story behind the creator of the Macy’s Day Parade! 🎈🎉 Afterwards, they designed their own parade balloons and marched proudly through “NYC” in the first-grade hallway. 🗽✨ What a way to get ready for our break! Over the last few weeks, second graders have been studying The American West!
🦬Trading Post Day was so much fun! Mrs. Dobson's 2nd grade class showed off their creativity by turning buffalo hides into all kinds of amazing items-canoes 🛶, hats 👒 , belts, sleeping bags, and even a king-sized bed 🛏️ ! So proud of their imagination and teamwork!🧡
🦃💛💙 Today was a special day at Valley View Elementary! Our kindergarten families joined their little ones for a Thanksgiving Feast. The cafeteria was filled with smiles, laughter, and plenty of turkey and gratitude! We’re so thankful for our amazing families and the memories made together. 💙💛🦃
Our amazing counselors rolled out a Sweet & Sour Happy Cart for our staff! 💛💙 Whether teachers were feeling sweet or a little sour, there was something for everyone — from pickles to sweet treats! What a fun way to brighten everyone’s day! 💛💙

🎃 A big thank you to the Arkansas State University Agriculture Department for bringing pumpkins for our 2nd graders to paint! 🍂 The students had so much fun getting creative and loved hearing a pumpkin-themed book read to each class. What a fun fall surprise! 💛💙
