Kindergarten Screening Day ✅ 💙This morning at Valley View Elementary was a blast! Kindergarten screening brought out so many excited boys and girls ready to start their upcoming school journey. 📚🎉 #BlazerPride

📣Kindergarten Student Screening Day is Wednesday! 📅 Kindergarten Student Screening Day is Wednesday, July 17. Screening Day allows students to complete a kindergarten readiness checklist, socialize with peers, and become familiar with the elementary building. Parents will drop off in front of the elementary. Students are divided into groups by LAST names: 🌟A-L: 8:00-9:30 🌟M-Z: 10:30-12:00 Students enrolled in Excel need to attend the first session. Parents may drop off at the front of the elementary at 8am or teachers may pick them up from Excel. For pick up, parents will park in the parking lot by Ruritan Park and follow the sidewalk in front of the elementary to the cafeteria. Pick up procedures should take 20 minutes to recap the morning. Make sure your student is watching for a special delivery in the mail! (Name tags will be mailed for students to wear on the Kindergarten Screening Day). If you need to register your child for kindergarten, please contact the elementary office. 🌍ASU Mid-South’s portable planetarium - the show was “Earth’s Wild Ride” a show produced in collaboration with Rice University, through NASA's Immersive Earth Project.🔭 First Grade students were able to enjoy this exciting trip last week! After learning about the 3 Branches of the Government, State Representative Rick Crawford received a letter from 2nd grader Carter Pinkston, who was wanting a bill passed to save the turtles. Congressman Crawford wanted to visit and explain how laws are made and passed and his role in the government. 💙💛🇺🇸
