Pre-K Registration for 2016-2017
Currently all slots are penciled in for the coming year. If any slots become available we will go back to the waiting list to fill them. See below for documents required for registration.
Pre-K Registration Documents Required
Social Security Card
Proof of residence (current utility bill with name and service address listed)
Current physical (must be dated within past 12 months)
Immunization record (must include immunizations received after 4th birthday)
(For Private Pay Slots) Non-refundable check for $150, which includes $50 registration fee and first week's tuition of $100
(For ABC Slots) Income eligibility documentation - Copy of 2015 Income Tax Return showing adjusted gross family income or parent(s) last four pay stubs
Note: Children will not be assigned to a classroom until all documentation is in place.
Arrival and Departure Procedures
Arrival: Pre-K drop off will be at the Pre-K awning entrance at east end of building. Please turn onto Kersey Lane from Valley View Drive; turn right on Kersey Cove. Go just past the brown house on the right (PTA sign in yard). Pre-K parents may park in the parking lot near the Pre-K awning and walk children to the classrooms to sign them in for the day. Pre-K doors will be opened at 7:30 a.m. and will be locked at 8:30 a.m. Please do not take children to classrooms before 7:30 as teachers are making final preparations for the day until that time. Families arriving after 8:30 a.m. should enter the building at the main front entrance, and then take children to the classrooms. Arrival and departure times are very busy. Parents, please be safe and hold your child's hand in the parking lot. Parents are welcome to visit Pre-K classrooms at any time. However, Pre-K parents are not allowed to go to any other classroom to visit siblings or teachers without first checking in at the office.
Departure: Children who do not have siblings in the Intermediate Building will be dismissed at 2:45 and load at end of Pre-K awning, in same area where they are dropped off each morning. Parents will stage on Field House Lane. To get lined up correctly, parents will turn onto Kersey Lane, proceed down to the far end of the elementary building, turning on driveway beside cafeteria end of the building, which has windows all the way around it. That driveway circles behind elementary building and will take you to the Field House Lane, where you will line up on the right hand side of the street. Please watch carefully, as high school students may be walking to field house during this time. Please get over far enough so that there is plenty of room for buses to pass on other side. As students are dismissed, cars will make a loop around the back parking area. The first few cars in line can proceed to the pickup area, which will be in the area of the Pre-K sign on the fence. First car will pull up to the #5 sign, others will pull up behind, forming a loop. Please use caution, don't block Kersey Cove Street, and yield to traffic on Kersey Cove before pulling across to the pickup area. Children will come out of the Pre-K Wing, will be loaded in the circular area by the awning, 3-4 cars at a time. Please help us by having your car visor tag easily visible and having ID already pulled out and ready for teachers to see when they load your children. Please teach your child to buckle his/her own seatbelt. If your child needs assistance, please pull forward onto the parking lot to help them so that other parents in the line are not delayed.
Children with siblings in the Intermediate Building will be dismissed at same time siblings are dismissed and loaded in same area where siblings are normally picked up.
Note: Cell phone use is prohibited by law on school campus in drop off or pick up lines. Staff members will not load children until adults are off cell phones and able to direct full attention to the safety of the children.
