Letter to Parents of Graduates

As graduation approaches, we just wanted to take an opportunity to express our thanks and appreciation to the Class of 2017. I know I speak not only for myself but the entire building in saying this class has been a great group this year, and we appreciate their hard work and leadership. They have truly been a joy to have in school and have represented Valley View Schools in a positive light. Obviously, this is a reflection of the great support that they have from their parents and/or guardians. Furthermore, as a school we appreciate the help and support of all of our parents and guardians as well. The positive relationships that we have been able to develop over this time with parents, guardians, and students are truly a blessing.

We would like to remind all concerned about a few items:

  • We ask that 12th graders have fees, lunch charges, etc., taken care of by the 28th of April. (We will have a list at the 12th grade awards ceremony for those who want to inquire.)

  • The awards assembly for 12th graders is scheduled for 9:30 on Friday, April  28th in the Fine Arts Center. Students are asked to arrive at 9:00 am to begin lining up for our last graduation practice.

  • Following the awards ceremony, we would like to invite all parents/guardians and siblings to the Valley View Church of Christ Auditorium for our Annual luncheon sponsored by Simmons Bank.

  • The Graduation ceremony will be held at 6:00 pm on May 6th at the Convocation Center on the Campus of Arkansas State University. Graduating seniors should arrive at 4:45 pm to begin preparations for the ceremony.  Tables will be set up in the red entrance to purchase graduation videos and pictures.

In closing, we would like to say thank you for letting us have the opportunity to educate your young adults. Please let us know if we can provide help and assistance in the future.
